WE HAVE TALL AMBITIONS+
ARE STRIVING FOR GLOBAL CHANGE
At DXL, we recognize our responsibility as the industry leader of Big + Tall Men's apparel to consider our corporate responsibility throughout our strategic business decisions. We realize that to positively affect human rights, as well as the environment through sustainable methods, we must keep working for better practices throughout the world.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS
Putting people first goes beyond borders. Our social responsibility is to act in an ethical and sustainable way everywhere we have operations: factories, stores, our distribution center, as well as our corporate headquarters. By respecting and promoting human rights, which are the basic rights and freedoms that every person is entitled to, we ensure the equal and fair treatment of every employee.
TAMIL NADU HOTLINE
"UNGAL KURAL"
Human rights issues surrounding freedom of movement, wage withholding, illegal recruiting, access to clean water and child labor have materially come to light through whistle blowers. As a culmination of our work with other brands, DXL was on the ground floor of creating a third-party direct line of contact for workers in Tamil Nadu (a region of India that has 7 million factory workers).
SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS
PROGRAMS AND MANUFACTURING
TRUE NATION DENIM
85% of the True Nation denim assortment now uses sustainable fabric (at least 25% recycled polyester). This accounts for approximately 42% of
our casual pants and jeans inventory.
85% of our True Nation denim has removed pumice stones from our washing standards and instituted laser technology as a replacement to improve working conditions and remove harmful chemicals. The goal is to use 100% laser technology by 2025.
Our denim and casual pants mills all now use high energy efficient machinery to reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
SUSTAINABLE THERMOREGULATION Natural technology that incorporates sustainability throughout the product life cycle.
HOW 37.5° TECHNOLOGY WORKS Temperature regulating material helps cool you down or keep you warm based on your humidity level. It keeps your body regulated at the perfect temperature, so you can tackle a long day without breaking a sweat. 37.5® Technology is the only fabric technology to combine natural minerals with recycled yarn options and enhanced biodegradation.
37.5® is a registered trademark of Cocona, Inc.
BLUE JEANS GO GREEN DENIM RECYCLING PROGRAM
When clothes are designed, sourced, and produced with natural materials, worn for as long as possible, and then repurposed or recycled, their life is circular. They do good for the Earth by avoiding landfills, and they create possibilities for communities through their new purpose.
Through the Blue Jeans Go Green Denim Recycling Program, we're able to keep denim looks out of landfills.
